Norbain has appointed a dedicated business development manager, Paul Jones, to support the popular Sony brand. Sony has an extensive IP and analogue line up and has seen significant growth since appointing Norbain as a key distributor.
Education: Security system tackles class disruptions at Beardwood School
Disruption to education is an ongoing and significant problem for schools across the UK but when Beardwood School, which is responsible for educating some 1100 students, was experiencing disruptions from children setting off fire alarms during school time it decided to take action to address the problem.
Following a recommendation, the school contacted Simon Wilkinson, Commercial Director of Delta Fire & Security Protection, who suggested an integrated CCTV solution, supplied by Norbain, which could be introduced in a number of phases. To tackle the immediate fire alarm problem Delta installed 35 Vista VFD13C/HR colour, vandal resistant cameras. They are predominantly positioned in the corridors to cover the school’s fire alarms whilst also monitoring the central corridor areas, entrance and exit doors and the fire escape routes.
