IP – a hot topic at LIVE06

Sep 5 2006

Reading, UK

There’s no doubt that IP is the up and coming technology in electronic security. LIVE06 gives you the chance to speak with the experts about whether it’s suitable for your application and find out what’s hot on the market.

Bosch IP Network Video remote video surveillance systems are ideal anywhere where sites or property need to be monitored or secured from a distance. Their ability to combine the best picture quality with lowest data rates makes it attractive in many fields. The systems compress and transmit multimedia data in digital sequences. Superior imaging and transmitting quality at the lowest data volume are the major advantages of the Bosch IP Network Video technology.

With the DF3000IP-DN and DDF3000IPV-DN Dallmeier Electronic is setting new standards for day/night IP cameras and IP dome cameras in security applications. The innovative sensor concept of the Cam_inPIX® technology, based on the most up-to-date progressive scan CMOS DPS chip generation, offers excellent picture quality in all lighting situations. The ultra high dynamic range of the camera (120 dB typical), the high-resolution sensor technology (540 TVL) and the software developed especially for the security field provide clear, colour-true and detailed pictures without any blooming or smearing.

Dedicated Micros has launched NetVu Console, a powerful NetVu Connected remote viewing station which offers installers and end users a non PC based alternative to remote viewing and telemetry control over the network. Designed to have minimal installation requirements, the NetVu Console consists of a traditional telemetry KBS3A keyboard and a single channel decoder unit, which provides a remote viewing point on the CCTV system such as a guard station in the outer reaches of a building complex.

Europlex Technologies can now offer SigNET, which packs-in all the salient features needed by intruder alarm installers, into a single, compact package. SigNET offers from 24 to 512 zones, wireless communication built-in, Ethernet built-in (300 series), configuration from browser (so engineers don’t need laptops or special software), and signalling via PSDN, GSM and IP.

JVC has a range of IP-based network products such as the VN-C20U fully-featured fixed security camera that has Easy Day / Night operation and is able to utilise Power over Ethernet (POE) or 24V AC power. For extremely high-quality, live full-motion and multi-streaming of analogue security to IP images, visitors will be able to see the 4-channel VN-E4 encoder.

Endura is the enterprise class, network-based video security solution from Pelco. It is designed for mission critical applications where downtime is unacceptable. Endura’s fully distributed architecture offers unlimited flexibility in designing a video security system. Built with expansion in mind, an Endura system can scale from a few cameras to a few hundred to a few thousand, while using the same hardware and software footprint, making it easy for users to grow their system as their needs change.

Sony’s line-up will include its new IPELA® IP network cameras - the SNC-CS10P and SNC-CS11P. Both cameras are designed for easy transition to IP-based monitoring and include built-in motion detection, pre/post alarm recording and DC Servo Auto Iris Lens capability, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. The new cameras bring high image quality and advanced security features to a wide range of applications.
