Partnership for success

Reading, UK
Norbain SD and Protec Fire Detection Plc are two of the select few companies in the UK to have received their official certification from Pelco for the Endura network-based video security system.
Protec signed a strategic partnership agreement with Norbain on 29th October 2004, since which time the two companies have worked on several major integrated security projects.
Pelco Endura provides a powerful distributed system architecture and hardware/software platform for the total utilisation of today’s Ethernet networks. This non-centralized system allows customers to make use of a facility’s network and network infrastructure, representing significant savings in cabling, hardware, and manpower resources.
Unlike other "CCTV over IP" offerings the Endura system provides Keyboard/Joystick operator interface for full system operation including camera selection, PTZ functions, playback and image downloads. The operator does not need a PC workstation to access the Endura system functionality, thus providing a comfortable migration from standard CCTV systems to this new enhanced technology.
Protec, experts in a wide range of security installations, are utilising the Endura technology on a number of major CCTV projects. The partnership between the three companies combines Protec’s in-depth knowledge of the security industry with Norbain’s dedication to exceptional customer service and Pelco’s focus on outstanding product quality and innovation.
"It is critical at the preliminary design stage, to determine the most appropriate technical CCTV solution to meet the clients needs" says Protec’s security operation’s manager, Damian Parker. "By working closely with our Strategic supply team of Pelco and Norbain we have surpassed this aim, by embracing the very latest CCTV technology for these prestigious projects."
