Norbain has promoted Mark Field to the position of divisional director of purchasing and supply as of immediate effect.
Mark joined Norbain in July 1999 as a stock controller and just nine months later was promoted to the position of stock control manager for branded products. Further promotions have seen Mark’s role expand to include responsibility for Vista stock control and for some of Norbain’s purchasing activities with Branded suppliers.
Mark’s new role gives him responsibility for the management and development of the Branded and Vista stock control areas and the Branded product purchasing team. "The purchasing and supply chain activities at Norbain are central to our continued success," says Keith Purvis, operations director. "Mark’s appointment reflects the importance we place on this sphere of the business. His extensive experience and skill in this area will ensure we continue to meet, and exceed, customer expectations."
"I’m delighted to be presented with this opportunity," says Mark, "and I am certainly looking forward to the challenge of managing the supply chain of Europe’s most influential security equipment distributor."
