Vista Bullet range not left in the dark

Feb 16 2006

Reading, UK

Vista, the UK’s premier brand of CCTV equipment, has added an IR (Infra Red) camera to its successful series of Bullet cameras. Unobtrusive, stylish and discreet this selection of cameras now features varifocal lens and day/night options to provide flexible video surveillance for an increasingly varied range of applications.

The cameras are supplied as kits, complete with matching brackets with simple ‘butterfly screw’ adjustment, making positioning the camera a tool-free procedure. All wiring is enclosed so as not to detract from the sleek, stylish look of the silver or black casing.

The size of the Bullet camera ensures that it remains discreet once installed and the built-in lens ensures that high quality images are captured from the moment it is switched on. The reliable design, common throughout the Vista range, means the operator can expect trouble-free operation and minimal maintenance costs.

The range is housed in a robust casing with an integrated sun shield and movable IR filter to provide superb colour images in both daylight hours and clear monochrome images at night time. They feature an array of 850nM LED’s that do not give off visible light in the dark, for covert applications, and provide enough IR light to capture images up to 25 metres away.

"Although the new IR camera is very cost effective," explains Mark Pritchard, Divisional Director of Vista, "it certainly doesn’t lack features. For example, the IR LEDs cleverly decrease in intensity as objects come closer, thus reducing any washout and keeping clarity of image to a maximum."

Because of the inherent flexibility of the camera, it is suited to a huge range of applications including hotel delivery yards, modern offices, reception areas, storage areas, stairwells, nurseries and convenience stores.
