Four new Panasonic cameras featuring the company's latest Super Dynamic (SD5) technology are now available through Norbain.
The launch of SD5 brings this technology to the next level, with features such as Adaptive Black Stretch, which works to effectively enhance low light areas. Bringing intelligence to the cameras, SD5 now incorporates Intelligent-Video Motion Detection (i-VMD). By learning the movement of a scene under surveillance, it can be configured to detect and track intruders, and also detect left or removed objects.
Fusing SD5 technology with i-Pro has created the Panasonic Mega SD range. With 3 Megapixel capability, H.264 compression and real-time streaming, the Mega SD range delivers best of Panasonic breed technology to the IP security market. With features such as unique Auto Back Focus, the cameras adjust automatically to day/night conditions, so image focus remains consistently sharp.
The highest ever resolution cameras at 650 TVL colour (700 TVL black & white) are allied to 0.3 lux colour (0.04 lux black & white) minimum scene illumination at F1.4. The 4 new Panasonic cameras launched with the SD5 chipset are; the WV-CP500 1/3" True Day Night, WV-CW500S 1/3" True Day Night vandal resistant dome, and I-PRO Mega SD WV-NP502 1.3Mpixel True Day Night, and WV-NW502S 1/3Mpixel True Day Night vandal resistant dome.
"Since its launch in 1997, SD technology from Panasonic has delivered cutting edge performance, with features such as wide dynamic range and back light compensation," says Buzz Coates, Norbain's branded CCTV manager: "With intelligent features such as face detection, the new cameras can be used to trigger alarms and XML data to a recorder, to make sure users never miss a vital moment."
