Designed to provide a flexible, high security solution, Tyco International's new Kantech EntraPass v4.02 access control software is now available through Norbain.
Available in three different versions; EntraPass Special Edition, EntraPass Corporate Edition, and EntraPass Global Edition, there is a software package to suit any access control requirement.
This latest version of EntraPass supports the new Kantech KT-400EU four-door Ethernet-ready controller, allowing customers to add more doors to the EntraPass system, while reducing the number of panels and peripheral devices needed.
The latest version of EntraPass adds support for new hardware including the DSC range of Intruder Alarm panels. Significant improvements have been made in the reload time for the KT-NCC and Global Edition now features a new Dual Gateway which provides the advantages of both Corporate and Global Gateways in one.
Software features include a powerful Roll Call report in every version as well as a macro Task Builder and an Event Trigger. Some of the new and enhanced Operator functions include improved Reporting, a new System Tree View providing at-a-glance detail, as well as an improved Time and Attendance function, multiple cards per user and the ability to view up to four user pictures at any one time. Compatibility is assured with support for 32 bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008.
The EntraPass Corporate Edition provides expanded functionality with the ability to control thousands of doors from up to 20 workstations. The powerful multi-user access control system provides WebViews for integrating and displaying live video from IP cameras, and SmartLink Task Commander that allows automated system tasks.
The powerful EntraPass Global Edition multi-user access control system is suitable for the most demanding applications. It accommodates an unlimited number of users, controls up to 4,096 card readers per Global Gateway, and allows users to simultaneously access the system from up to 128 workstations. Its distributed architecture supports connections to remote sites using direct connections, dial-up modems, and IP communication.
"The hallmark of a good access control system is its reliability and ease of use," says Gareth Ellams, Norbain's access control manager. "EntraPass v4.02 continues this tradition being very robust, enabling customers to design and operate any number of doors where card access is required, more securely, quickly, and efficiently."
