We list below the details we have available on the specific products that these companies will be bringing to Norbain LIVE. Further details will follow.

The statements and views expressed below are those submitted to us by each the company.

Baxall Limited

Baxall will demonstrate their Hyper-D camera. Launched at this year’s IFSEC, the revolutionary new Hyper-D chipset technology incorporated into the new breed of Baxall cameras provides users with superior pictures in an even wider range of conditions than ever before.

Hyper-D radically changes the way cameras process images, resulting in near film-quality pictures. This is achieved by incorporating an analogue to digital converter on each pixel. Every pixel is then individually exposed for the optimum amount of time. This essentially means that each Hyper-D camera has literally hundreds of thousands of individual cameras working within it, each of which is trying to produce the best image possible. These images are then combined to create a high quality video frame / picture with excellent colour reproduction and a dynamic range superior to any current CCTV camera.

BPT Security Systems (UK) Ltd

BPT, the entry systems specialists, will exhibit their Lynea Handset and Lynea Monitor, on sale this month for the first time, the Targha Entry Panel with Keypad, and DDA Audio and Video Entry Panels.

Lynea is the latest addition to BPT's extensive range of video and audio entry systems, giving you even greater choice than ever before. With two handsets and two monitors both available in colour or black and white, Lynea fits conveniently into BPT's range which extends from simple, single home or office units to large sophisticated systems. Lynea is available for system 200, X2 and System 300.

The new Targha with keypad expands the range so that the Targha can cater for every application. The new surface entry panels feature a backlit 12 key keypad to provide secure entry whilst removing the need and subsequent cost for an access control system. The keypad allows for 100 codes between 3 and 5 digits long, audio and video versions are available.

Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) entry panels have all the quality, durability and style you would expect from BPT, but are adapted to comply with requirements of the DDA, with tactile illuminated buttons, Braille characters and LED indicators.

BPT are accredited with BS5750 Part 2, EN ISO 9002 and are considered the UK's market leader selling more door entry control systems to the trade and being specified through more architects than any other entry control supplier.

C·CURE from Software House

Software House will be exhibiting their C« CURE 800 Access Control system, together with iSTAR ethernet-ready controllers and Intellex HDRs. C« CURE 800 is a scalable security management solution suitable for large and small installations alike. Dallmeier will be exhibiting their DLS24S1 24 channel wavelet recorder – the overall IFSEC Award winning product – plus the DIS-1/L real time MPeg2 video and audio recorder, and PView management control software.

The recently launched (September 2003) DLS24S1 is one of the new generation of video recording systems (D24 S1, DLS18S1 and DLS 6 S1) from Dallmeier electronic providing exceptional security and functionality. Besides the proven standard system configuration (with VdS certification, 24 camera inputs, multi-processing, 36 months guarantee etc.) there are many new functions that are being presented at Norbain Live.

These include SEDOR technology - built-in camera sabotage protection raises the alarm if the recording process is affected by the camera being tampered with – and Sabotage protection to VdS guidelines - double protection from sabotage and cover contacts and a protective hood over the rear connection panel. Additional features include MPEG4 transmission, asymmetrical maintenance analysis over the network, and camera management through the user interface

Dedicated Micros

Dedicated Micros will be showing their DS2 Plus digital recorder, BX2 digital recorder, and DV-IP network video server.

The new DS2 Plus extends the top end performance of the market leading Digital Sprite 2 range. Customers can now opt for a product that includes all the familiar features of the market leading Digital Sprite, but with 100 PPS record rate, and a maximum storage of 600GB dramatically improving its flexibility for applications such as retail and banking.

Dedicated Micros' flagship BX2 has had its record rate doubled from 50/60PPS to 100/120PPS with no additional charges. DM has also introduced a new variant of the BX2 with 1.2TB of disk storage, substantially increasing its record capacity.

DV-IP is the latest network video server from Dedicated Micros designed to meet the demands of continuous 24-hour CCTV surveillance using existing computer networks. Established for 21 years, Dedicated Micros (DM) is an international market leader in the manufacture of CCTV control equipment. DM offers an award winning range of digital video recorders that are straightforward, user friendly and simple to install.

Derwent and Extreme CCTV

Extreme CCTV will be launching their all new ZX55, a long range integrated twin camera and illumination solution, the latest benchmark for Integrated Day Night (IDN™) cameras. Power is delivered through full 1/3" LXR CCD optics, wide-aperture IR-specific lenses, SuperLED™ infrared illumination and a new patent (applied) cooling technique that allows for the "impossible" performance never before seen from a surveillance camera that only requires 50 Watts. Perfected colour in daylight and perfected infrared performance by night-light means the assurance of high signal / low noise performance around the clock under any ambient light conditions out to 200 feet in complete darkness. Built-in DXL technology (for dual-sensor x dual-lens performance) eliminates any possibility of focus shift and colour distortion caused by IR-bleed. If there is absolute need for 24/7 video vigilance, the ZX55 is your camera to specify.

Shaun Cutler, Marketing Manager of Derwent Systems, says "Derwent and Extreme CCTV see this as the ideal opportunity to ensure that the links between manufactures and installers are maintained and remain strong."

Ethernetcctv

Ethernetcctv will be displaying VideoJet 10 and VideoJet 100 video servers from VCS, and a range of Axis network cameras.

The VideoJet 10 with MPEG-4 encoding provides high quality real time video pictures at up to 30 frames/s with audio on very low bandwidth.

The VideoJet 100 is a versatile, high performance, one channel video server that transmits or receives video, audio, and data over LANs or WANs using h 323 or MPEG-4 compression.

A network camera is a camera and computer combined in one intelligent unit. It captures and transmits live images directly over an IP network (e.g. LAN/intranet/Internet), enabling users to remotely view and/or manage the camera from a Web browser on any computer, anywhere, at any time. Axis' cameras are number 1 in the worldwide network camera market. The company's long experience in network video products, in addition to having well-tested networking technology, speaks of the products' reliability and quality. Axis network cameras offer a wide range of benefits and have tremendous advantages over digital, PC-attached Web cameras and analogue-based CCTV cameras.

IEC Trimec

Amongst their recent new product releases IEC will be exhibiting are the TRIMEC range of products.

The TRIMEC surface mount electric lock - offering a unique side load release feature. Nigel Finlayson, IEC Product Manager, says: "The TRIMEC lock addresses a key gap in the access control market, where many applications have used either magnetic locks which release when power is removed, but which offer far less physical security, or higher security locks which jam under side load pressure. The TRIMEC offers the best of both worlds - exit safety without compromising security – a safe exit under side load pressure of up to 0.5 tonne while maintaining high physical security and unobtrusive appearance."

AC compatibility for TRIMEC strikes – the IEC RM1 enables strikes previously limited by DC compatibility to be used with AC systems. This opens up a host of new options for the use of TRIMEC strikes within access control systems, in addition to significant reduced current consumption, with or without AC sounder function.
