Vista’s Formidable 4, aka Navigator DVR, Blade DVR, PowerDome² and Graphica², caused quite a stir at IFSEC this year. Below is a brief overview of the Formidable 4. Vista will also be showing an extensive range of other products including new domes, cameras and monitors that you won’t have had the opportunity to see before now.

Navigator DVR
The Vista Navigator is a mid range DVR with 4, 10 or 16 camera inputs that offers excellent functionally. Simple to set-up, but powerful in operation, the Navigator offers the installer and end-user a truly intuitive menu structure. Mouse control has been incorporated to ease menu navigation and set-up, while the interactive help button brings up on-screen information to help the user maximise system performance.

Schedule recording can be selected to optimise recording for a set duration. This allows the user to record salient information in high resolution, only when they need it. This reduces the impact on the hard disk space and makes it easier to locate recorded information.

Blade DVR
The Vista Blade is an enterprise level real-time DVR with 4, 8 or 16 inputs, capable of recording up to 400 images per second for 16 cameras at D1 resolution. As with Navigator, dome control is designed for use with RS485 and coaxial cable and it is compatible with Vista’s PowerDome and eclipse ranges plus numerous 3rd party domes.

Up to four internal drives support 3TB of storage and the internal cooling system prevents overheating. This sophisticated piece of engineering helps to optimise hard disk life and record rates, thus prolonging the life of the product.

PowerDome²
The PowerDome² range comes with improved housing design and more powerful camera modules, including 26:1 day/night and 23:1 day/night WDR. The domes include both camera yoke and back-box memory allowing either yoke or housing to be swapped out and automatically reprogrammed with camera settings such as presets, tours, privacy zones etc. without manual re-programming.

Graphica²
The new upgraded version of Graphica allows for control of the new Blade and Navigator DVRs. Packed with new features such as muli-site / multi-user operation over LAN, WAN & the world wide web, expansion plans include integration with other Vista control products including  backward compatibility with the established Vista Triplex and Quantum product lines. The software utilises an advanced user interface to combine conventional analogue video products and networked digital products, thus allowing direct streaming of IP cameras.
