Enter the world of Access Control with Norbain LIVE08
Jul 25 2008
Reading, UK
Access Control is one of the fastest growing areas of the modern security industry and has recently seen a number of major advancements in the types of technology being employed. Amongst these advancements is the move toward IP with the increasing integration of electronic security systems, including CCVT and Intruder Detection. LIVE08 gives you the ideal opportunity to find out more about these exciting new developments and how they can benefit you and your customers.
A wide selection of Access Control products will be at the show demonstrating solutions from the very simple to the necessarily complex. A small selection of what is on offer is detailed below:
-
Contract Locking is fast becoming a popular source of reliable products for the Access Control industry. They have an in-house engineering department and sales team with over 50 years of experience between them, allowing them to source and supply field proven products at a competitive cost to consumers. Their aim is to provide the highest level of service, keeping customers up to date with new information and product development, encouraging an in-depth understanding of their customers’ needs and requirements.
-
The PAC range of electronic Access Control equipment now includes the innovative new iPAC all-in-one access controller and proximity reader, ideal for the residential, commercial and light industrial markets. An award-winning product, the iPAC has built in Microsoft Windows CE enabling it to be easily installed, set up and programmed without the need for a separate on-site computer. PAC has also released the latest versions of its popular SecureNet and EasiNet Residential visitor management and electronic access control solutions. With many new features and functions, both products can be tailored to the security requirements of different commercial and residential housing applications.
-
As part of their range on offer, Paxton Access will be demonstrating the hugely popular Net2, an advanced PC based Access Control system that offers a high level of security, centralised administration and flexible control over who has access to your building and at what time. It’s simple to install, easy to administer and can control hundreds of doors for up to 10,000 people. Users can be added and barred from the system within seconds. Access events are recorded in the event log and can be viewed in ‘real time’. The standard version of the software is free, logical and quick to learn. Net2’s compatibility with both Milestone’s XProtect software and NetVu connected DVRs (from Dedicated Micros or Vista Navigator) provides a reliable integrated security solution.
-
MICROgarde from TDSi is a cost-effective, networkable Access Control unit, supplied with free access management PC software. Easy to install, operate and maintain, MICROgarde is a highly effective controller which may be run independently or as part of a system network. Capable of supporting up to 200 doors, MICROgarde may be used with a range of TDSi readers (or those from other manufacturers), and is available either as an individual unit or a complete ‘starter kit’ – containing a controller, proximity reader, ten cards and MICROgarde software. The product is available with a wide range of options, including a power supply unit.
Further details on the shows, including a review of the products, technologies and seminars, will be released over the coming weeks. For immediate, up-to-date information and to register for free at an event near you, please visit www.norbainlive.com.
