The latest version of Videx Product Builder software is now available, free of charge through Norbain.
Version 7 of the popular PC-based system design software builds on the success of previous releases, affording designers, specifiers and installers the opportunity to create and test Videx-based 'virtual' Door Entry and Access Control systems.

Videx Product Builder can be used to design systems from a singe door access control facility, to multiple door installations. Infinitely adjustable, the layout and sizes of all door panels' audio, video and functional can be displayed, with engraving to buttons and user instructions also available. Modular panels can be re-arranged on-screen to allow unlimited combinations and layouts. When a system design is completed, Videx Product Builder can produce a block diagram that indicates cable size and number of cores required at each component.
Available on CD, Videx Product Builder V.7 also includes datasheets and product brochures. Fully integrated into the design software, users can also print comprehensive system component lists, alongside installation manuals of the equipment used.
"The new Videx 7 is a powerful tool for all Door Entry / Access Control system designers, affording the ability to adjust and perfect the system to individual end-users' needs - and all before any product is purchased," enthuses Gareth Ellams, Norbain's access control manager: "It's also is a great way to illustrate to customers exactly how the finished installation will perform, an invaluable tool that could give them the edge in any tender process."
