The recent series of Norbain / Siemens Intruder Detection Road Shows has concluded, with the announcement of a winner of the show's 'Beat the Clock' competition.
In addition to the existing range of intruder detection technology from Siemens, each of the five road shows, held around the country, included the new Siemens SigNET wireless alarm technology - famed for its high-performance and rapid set-up functionality. To illustrate its fast set-up, contestants were invited to programme a system to a basic configuration, in a competition to find who could do it in the fastest possible time. With over fifty contenders trying their best over the five road shows, the winning time was just 2 minutes 8 seconds, achieved by Karl Padgett of Trust Security.
Available through Norbain, Siemens SigNET is a true hybrid alarm system with 8 on-board wired zones and on-board wireless gateway. Communicating with intruder devices using the new European wireless frequency of 868MHz, the system provides greater security from interference and jamming.
For larger applications, the SigNET range can be expanded up to 512 zones, contains connectivity to expand both wired and wireless zones, and utilises controllers in the range that fully comply with the new European standard EN50131.
Each of the regional 'Beat the Clock' winners from the five road show locations received a fine dining experience for two, whilst in addition, as the overall winner, Karl will be enjoying a professional golf experience.
