The Vista Triplex™ Columbus DVR offers enhanced text input that allows images captured on point of sale cameras to be cross-indexed with card data collected from the EPoS system. This enables retailers and financial institutions to match image and card data with unparalleled accuracy and speed.
Currently, when a fraudulent transaction takes place, it can be a very laborious process to identify the image of the fraudster, depending on the quality and nature of the recording device used. The new Columbus Triplex™ DVR indexes data from the card against image data captured by the camera. This capability - combined with the very high recording quality of the DVR and its advanced search functionality – provides financial institutions with the ideal tool to crack down on retail fraud.
The name Triplex™ reflects the unit’s three simultaneous operational capabilities - recording video from multiple cameras to an internal hard drive whilst simultaneously providing playback of recorded images and viewing live images – even on the same monitor.
